One thing I was certainly looking forward to in 2011 was this, the eighth studio album from the Gods of alternative progressive rock: Radiohead.
On Valentines Day this year came the announcement that the long-awaited 'The King Of Limbs' would be released a mere four days later, and so the album came out into a whirr of excitement and media buzz that left the music world spinning.
I have the whole Radiohead back catalogue stored - and taking up a lot of space - on my r4i card, including all the B-sides, live recordings and whatever else I can get my hands on, I just can't get enough.
The album got mixed reviews, but it didn't disappoint me. That being said, it did take me a while to get really into it, it was one of those slow burners, like many of Radiohead's albums. You need to give it a good few solid listens to hear all the hidden intricacies, feel all the hooks and uplifts, only then can you truly make your judgment.
